JODIE STONE is WA’s only accredited Morning Altar practitioner. She has been adorning the Art Space regularly this year with her stunning Earth Art creations.
Jodie has been studying for the past two years with American artist and author Day Schrildket, in the benefits of using Nature, Art and Ritual.
Nature connection and the practice of intentional beauty making is incredibly nourishing to the spirit and can lead us to a deeper understanding of our selves.
The impermanent nature of this practice also allows us to be more connected with the constant impermanence and change within our daily lives.
The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance” – Aristotle
Take some time for yourself, stop for just a moment and consider where you are…. where you’re going…. what changes are happening in your life.
Marking time was once a natural part of the human experience. Long ago people celebrated sunrises and sunsets, they marked seasonal changes and all of life’s transitions.
Our days go by so fast, weeks turn into months, and years melt away. Marking even the smallest of changes allows us to be more present in the magic that is our journey.
To acknowledge how we are feeling and to listen to our truth is an empowering act. Stepping away from the rush, connecting with nature and looking inward is not a luxury, it is a profound gift to ourselves, a gift that will ground and restore those parts of us that long for things we cannot even remember.
