Join the Scarborough Art Space Collective and create your own God’s Eye artworks using wool and sticks. The artworks created in the workshop will be fixed to a stake in the ground and put out for a display at the Groundswell Festival, creating a stunning ‘field’ of vibrancy!
God’s Eyes are woven objects originally made by the Huichol people of Mexico to symbolically provide a watchful eye and protect people against future uncertainties. The ends of the sticks represent the elements – earth, water, wind and fire, as well as the four directions – north, south, east and west. Our field of colourful God’s Eyes will offer messages of positive energy.
Join in one the free workshops held between 11am – 3pm each day of the festival or get in early at a pre-event workshop held at Art Space Collective HQ on Sat 30 Sep, 9.30am – 11.30am
