Get Down To Earth – Elle Rose Exhibition & Closing Party

22 Apr 2023

Time: 05 PM

A solo exhibition by Elle Rose, a collection of Earth-inspired works grounded in Ellie’s connection to the environment and nature of all things.

Elle Rose Bio

Elle Rose is a West Australian based artist working on the land of the Whadjuk Noongar People. They are a student, a listener and a storyteller. Birthing earth-inspired work grounded in their connection to the environment and the connected nature of all things. Writing and remembering stories of the Earth and its people. There are stories to tell, and communities to build. Elle’s work’s intention is simply to share. To share space, beauty and stories about what it’s like to be here, and to be human. Wild and divine inhabitants of Earth, dancing in our paradox. Elle’s space is for stories, our stories, our tales of grief, love, fear and shame expressed in whatever way they are to be named.

Music with Jay Grafton

Throughout the month we will also have:

  • Works by talented Boorloo clay artists featuring Leia Duffy, Della Cameron and Cobes Mcgee
  • Stunning photographic prints by Denise Rix, Gallery 61
  • Intricate drawings by Stef Whiting, Our Fragile Sea
  • Incredible hand-dyed textile pieces crafted using natural leaf dyes by Carly Rivarossa Botanicals

The Art Space Collective stands on Whadjuk Nyoongar Boodja, the traditional land of the Whadjuk Nyoongar people.

We acknowledge the Whadjuk people as the traditional custodians of the lands and waterways and we extend our respect to the Elders- past, present, and emerging.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the Whadjuk community, in particular Neville and Connie Collard, for walking alongside us and for helping to teach us by sharing their knowledge, the stories, and their songlines. This generosity and wisdom enables us to navigate Country respectfully.
