Does your child have a BIG imagination and love to create from recycled objects? Do they have a keen interest in being sustainable? In this all-day workshop with Strength Heroes, kids will explore the abstract world of Picasso. They will discover how the famous artist was a master recycler and used found and recycled objects in his paintings, sculptures and creations.

Kids will get curious as they learn that they can create art without following any rules. Strength Heroes talented artists will guide children to create an an abstract portrait.In this workshop kids will also get to use paint pens and spray paint. They will also use their “thinkering” and perseverance skills to create a balancing sculpture using recycled items.

Not only will your child learn some new art skills, but they will also play and explore how to think outside the box and how to create great art sustainably.

What you’ll get

We will engage your children for the entire day in this entertaining and thought provoking workshop.

Kids will take home all of their finished art pieces, as well as the special tips and tricks they’ve learnt in the class.

What to bring

Kids need to bring a water bottle, morning tea, a nut-free lunch and their imagination. BYO a willingness to try learn from mistakes! Dress for mess, aprons provided.

Suitable for

This is a fun indoor activity, suitable for kids (minimum 6 years old). Adult accompaniment is not required.
